Proposal of Communication Plan

The main goal of this thesis is to draw up a communication plan of the Pavilion Anthropos. The main questions and methods are specified in the introduction of the thesis. The theoretical part includes necessary definitions and deals with communication tools. The practical part introduces the Pavilion Anthropos and plan of exhibitions for 2010. The concrete activities of the communication plan are then set thanks to acquired information. Further work includes the drafting of a new graphic design web site. The conclusion resumes some of the findings.

The Animation of Culture in Education

Diplomová práce Animace kultury ve výchově a vzdělávání/ The Animation of Culture in Education Vypracovala: Kristýna Cihlářová 2011, KPED FFUK Abstract Nowadays, various cultural institutions realize their strategies of opening cultural services and the arts to the public. These strategies include the conception of educational programmes, particularly animation programmes for schools. The diploma thesis gives a definition of the animation of culture, its position and function in education. It focuses on a concrete type of an educational programme; an animation programme for the 1st and 2nd grade of basic school held in various types of cultural institutions. The thesis analyses the creation and realization of the animation programme from two perspectives; a theoretical and a practical one; by means of interviews with contemporary authors of animation programmes as well as by means of observation of the programmes. The two perspectives represent the confrontation of the ideal and real state of the issue. The conclusion offers practical recommendations in response to the articulated problems during the creation and realization of the programme. The City of Čelákovice and the Prominent Figures of the Local Musical Life

Résumé This graduation thesis The City of Čelákovice and the prominent figures of the local musical life deals with the town's history and culture, focusing mainly on the prominent figures, orchestras and other bodies of the local musical life. The paper is divided into six chapters. The introduction is dedicated to the birth and development of the city, the second chapter introduces various cultural institutions. The remaining chapters focus on the main topic of the thesis. Special attention is given not only to the prominent baroque composer Jan Zach, or to Bohumír Hanžlík, a celebrity on the current musical scene, but also to other less prominent people who left the mark on the city's musical history. The contents and focus of the paper make it especially suitable to those interested in the town of Čelákovice, its culture, prominent figures and musical history.

Genesis of film festival

The intention of this bachelor degree essay is to characterize film festival as a culturologic subject which is worthy of the academic attention. The essay is consisted of the theoretical and the practical part. Film festival is seen from a culturological pespective as institucion which provide a lot of different functions. The basic terms which goes through the whole essay are explained in the opening chapter. There is also implied use of this interdisciplinar cultural phenomenon. The history of FF is the main topic of the second chapter. The chapter shows changing of the FF function through the time from the presentation of the countries placed in euro-american region to its inovative function. The third chapter presents already published film festival theories and shows how to process the theme of the FF with collaboration of academic fields as the social and cultural anthropology, psychology and sociology. The core of this bachelor degree essay is the fourth chapter which contains research of the film festival event and its changes and growth in time. Fundraising, sponsorship and donorship in British cultural institutions (in comparison with the Czech Republic)

This work deals with fundraising and its comparison between selected British and Czech cultural institutions. The first part is dedicated to defining the concept of fundraising, its principles and segmentation. Subsequently the work contains a description of donorship and its reflection in the tax system in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. In conjunction with state financing, the issue of tax assignations in culture is analysed. In the second part of this work, different financing and approaches to donations and donorship are described and compared to selected institutions (Royal Opera House, London Symphony Orchestra, Czech National Theatre, Czech Philharmonic).

Cultural supply of Prague 7 City District – Art District 7

The thesis examines the current cultural supply of Prague 7 City District and the project Art District 7. The first part includes the description of the area of Prague 7 City District from a geographical, historical and demographic perspective. The principal chapter of the theoretical part is concerned with an analysis of the cultural institutions at work in the aforementioned area, supplemented with a financial analysis of particular cultural institutions. The theoretical part also scrutinizes the cultural funding provided by the Prague 7 City District. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the project Art District 7 which unites culture providers active in the area and officially declares Prague 7 City District as a cultural district. The project is depicted in its entirety in the practical part, beginning with the preparatory phase and concluding with the very realization of the project. The purpose of the research is to define the advantages resulting from the project, with the research founded on personal interviews with selected cultural providers, an employee of IPR Prague who participated in the preparations of the project and the city councillor for culture and neighbour relations of Prague 7 City District.

Legacy of Adalbert Stifter in his home region

1 Abstract The topic of this thesis, "The legacy of Adalbert Stifter in his home region", is focusing on Adalbert Stifter, a novelist writing in the German language, and native of Horní Planá. While the story of his life will not be overlooked, this thesis concentrates mainly on his legacy, related to his home region. The purpose of this thesis is to map all monuments of Stifter's life, and the cultural projects linked to this gifted writer, that were realised in his home region. The following text is split into five chapters. The first chapter describes the life and work of Adalbert Stifter. The second chapter is focused on the Czech translations of his works. The third chapter shows how Adalbert Stifter's heritage can help develop the Czech-German relationship. Mighty Sounds music festivalś comunication between 2009 - 2011

The bachelor thesis "Communication of the Mighty Sounds Music Festival from 2009- 2011" focuses on the analysis of marketing communications of a particular cultural institution over the long term. The first part takes a look at the role of music festivals in the field of culture marketing, and sets about to define the characteristics, which affect their communication. The second part of the thesis deals with the various communication operations of the analyzed festival. The subsequent part includes a communication audit based on the results of the research and a comparative analysis of the Mighty Sounds festival and its closest competitors. The conclusion evaluates the communication from the perspective of the author and contains several recommendations for improvement.
